Tech Tourguide began as a personal project combining two of my favorite interests: technology and writing. The idea was to open with a broad view of technology and narrow my focus until I found a niche… well that didn’t happen and I’m completely okay with it. I myself didn’t take this site too seriously until I began seeing my pages populate page one of particular Google searches and seeing the words “Tech Tourguide” appear in a few small forum posts. Though minuscule compared to larger, more dedicated pages, it is still humbling to me. What I’ve developed is a hodge-podge of excerpts of my thoughts on electronics while systematically avoiding every rule to blogging ever conceived… yet the site continues to grow. Even as I neglect it for weeks at a time and despite it being an unfocused, unorganized mess, it continues to move up search page results, reaching more and more people. Tech Tourguide, however is not meant to pander to a particular audience or to lure clicks and views, as it develops no ad revenue and because my opinion has not been bought or sold.
Though my life at the moment is very busy, I will continue writing new material and improving my posts… irregularly.
